Collection: Johnson Brothers

Johnson Brothers was founded in 1883 in Stoke-on-Trent, England, by Alfred and Frederick Johnson. Known for their durable "semi-porcelain" tableware, they quickly became a major name in ceramics, exporting widely and producing popular patterns like Old Britain Castles and Historic America.

The company expanded through the early 20th century, earning Royal Warrants and introducing innovative designs. It joined the Wedgwood Group in 1968 but faced rising costs and competition in later decades. By the early 2000s, production had shifted to China, and UK operations were shut down.

The brand was officially discontinued in 2015, but Johnson Brothers' ceramics remain highly collectible and admired for their quality and timeless design.
