At Katie's Vintage Corner, we carefully select, photograph and describe our vintage and pre-owned items. We want every customer to shop with confidence and understand exactly what they are purchasing.

Contact Us Before Returning

Please contact us before sending any item back so we can discuss the issue and provide the correct return address and instructions.

Please do not return items without first contacting us. This does not affect your statutory cancellation or consumer rights.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

We carefully package our items to help ensure safe delivery.

Please inspect your order upon arrival. If an item arrives damaged, faulty or significantly different from its description, we ask that you contact us within 7 days wherever possible.

Please include photographs of the item, any damage and the packaging. Retaining the original packaging can assist with investigating damage during delivery.

We will investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution in accordance with your statutory rights. Where a return is necessary because goods are faulty or not as described, we will cover reasonable return postage costs.

The requested 7-day notification period does not limit your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Change of Mind Returns

For eligible online purchases, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

After notifying us of cancellation, you have a further 14 days to return the items.

Customers are responsible for the direct cost of return postage for change-of-mind returns.

Eligible refunds will be issued to the original payment method, including the original standard delivery charge where required by law.

If you prefer, we can offer store credit instead of a refund, subject to your agreement.

Vintage and Pre-Owned Condition

Our products are vintage, second-hand or collectable and may display signs of age, previous use, manufacturing variations or historic wear.

We make every effort to describe and photograph these characteristics accurately.

Please review the full product description and photographs before purchasing.

Age-related wear and imperfections clearly disclosed before purchase form part of the item's described condition. This does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty or not as described.

Return Verification and Fraud Prevention

To protect our customers and our collection of individual vintage pieces, items may be photographed and their identifying characteristics documented before dispatch.

Returned items may be carefully checked against our original photographs, identifying marks, condition records and order details.

Customers must return the actual item supplied. Substitution of a different item, including a previously damaged or similar-looking piece, is not acceptable.

Where there is evidence of substitution, deliberate damage or a materially different item being returned, we reserve the right to investigate, request further information and dispute fraudulent claims through the appropriate payment provider or legal channels.

Any deductions for handling-related loss of value will only be made where permitted by law.

Packaging Returns

Please package returned items securely, using appropriate protective materials suitable for fragile ceramics, glass and collectables.

We recommend using a tracked postal service and retaining proof of postage.

Refund Processing

Where a refund is due, it will be processed within the applicable statutory timescales.

For eligible change-of-mind cancellations, we may wait until we receive the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, as permitted by law.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts your rights under applicable UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
