Royal Doulton Venetian Scenes D6449 Demitasse Cup & Saucer – 1955–1961

A vintage Royal Doulton demitasse coffee cup and matching saucer in the discontinued Venetian Scenes D6449 pattern.

Produced between 1955 and 1961, Venetian Scenes features delicate, stylised views inspired by Venice, with fine architectural and waterside details alongside sweeping accents of blue, turquoise and soft red. The turquoise detail to the cup handle adds a particularly attractive finishing touch. The pattern is documented as discontinued and the demitasse cup and saucer was one of the original forms produced in the range. 

This smaller cup and saucer is ideal for espresso or demitasse coffee and also makes a useful replacement piece for an existing Venetian Scenes service.
