Carlton Ware Rouge Royale Bird of Paradise 4794 Lidded Ginger Jar 5.5"

There is a lovely depth to this Carlton Ware ginger jar, with its rich ruby-red Rouge Royale lustre and striking Bird of Paradise design. A graceful golden bird sits among flowering branches, with touches of orange and turquoise bringing colour to its plumage and the surrounding flowers.

The rounded jar comes with its matching domed lid, topped by a tall gold-coloured finial. A broad gold-coloured rim and matching foot finish the piece beautifully. The base carries the Carlton Ware Made in England Trade Mark.

This is pattern 4794, the ruby-lustre Bird of Paradise design recorded from around 1970. At approximately 5.5 inches high, it makes a lovely little display piece for a shelf or cabinet. One lidded ginger jar is included.
