Coalport Kings Ware “Pastoral” Antique Blue Transferware Sugar Bowl c.1920s

A charming antique Coalport Kings Ware open sugar bowl in the named “Pastoral” pattern, dating to around the 1920s.

Decorated in classic blue transferware on a warm cream ground, the bowl features a continuous English rural landscape around the exterior, with cottages, trees and countryside scenery. A deep floral border decorates the inside rim, while a further small pastoral scene appears in the centre of the bowl.

The underside carries the blue Coalport England Kings Ware “Pastoral” backstamp.

A lovely and very usable piece of early 20th-century English transferware, equally attractive displayed individually or incorporated into a collection of antique blue and white china.
