Vintage Steuler 4198/3 West German Pottery Vase – 14"

A striking large vintage ceramic vase by Steuler Keramik of West Germany, impressed to the base with the distinctive Steuler factory mark and model number 4198/3.

Standing approximately 14 inches / 35.5 cm tall, the vase has an elegant sculptural form with a full rounded body, narrow waist and dramatically flared neck.

The surface is finished in an attractive mottled sage-green glaze with charcoal and dark grey speckling, becoming deeper towards the rim. The subtle variation throughout the glaze gives the vase wonderful texture without overwhelming its clean mid-century form.

Its generous size makes this a genuine statement piece, ideal displayed alone on a sideboard, console or shelving as part of a mid-century or eclectic interior.
