Vintage Scheurich Keramik 291-38 West German Pottery Floral Vase 15"

A substantial vintage Scheurich Keramik West German pottery vase, model 291-38, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century.

Standing approximately 15" / 38 cm tall, this large statement vase features a warm cream ground with contrasting chocolate-brown bands and bold white floral and leaf decoration around the body. The flared rim is finished with a distinctive brown and white decorative glaze, giving the piece plenty of character from every angle.

Scheurich was one of the major producers associated with the highly collectable West German Pottery movement. The factory produced an extraordinary variety of forms and glazes during the post-war decades, with the model numbering helping collectors identify individual shapes and sizes. On this example, 291 identifies the form and 38 corresponds to its approximate 38 cm height.

With its generous scale and graphic floral decoration, this piece works beautifully as a statement vase or standalone mid-century decorative object.
