Vintage Hand Blown Open Lattice Art Glass Bowl with Emerald Green Base

A striking piece of vintage hand-worked art glass, combining sculptural clear glass with a rich emerald-green base.

The bowl is formed from substantial clear glass strands, individually manipulated into an intricate open lattice design of interlocking loops. The openwork creates wonderful reflections and movement as the light passes through the glass, while the vivid emerald-green base provides a dramatic contrast.

The underside features a large polished pontil, supporting its hand-worked construction. The green glass also rises into a decorative scalloped formation within the bowl, adding another layer of colour when viewed through the clear lattice.

At approximately 9 inches / 23 cm across, this is a substantial statement piece, ideal as a fruit bowl, centrepiece or simply displayed as a piece of sculptural glass.
