Pair of Vintage Cobalt Blue Hand Blown Glass Goblets 7 Inch

This pair of vintage cobalt-blue glass goblets has an appealing hand-blown character, with deep blue bowls set on contrasting pale aqua stems and rounded knops. The two glasses are similar in design but not identical: their bowl shapes and proportions vary slightly, and one stem has an additional dark cobalt-blue inclusion within its knop while the other has a clear aqua knop.

Numerous small air bubbles can be seen within the glass, adding to their individual character. Both bases have rough snapped pontil marks to the undersides, consistent with traditional hand-finishing. Each goblet stands approximately 7 inches (17.8 cm) tall.

The pair is offered together. Both goblets are in good condition, with no chips, cracks or other damage. The maker, country of manufacture and exact age are unknown.
