A beautiful vintage Paragon Trillium demitasse coffee cup and saucer from the Canadian Provincial Flowers series, made in England in fine bone china.
The petite cup and matching saucer are decorated with graceful white trillium flowers, soft green foliage and delicate contrasting leaves, finished with elegant gold gilding. A smaller botanical motif also decorates the inside of the cup.
Trillium is the provincial flower of Ontario, making this an especially appealing design within Paragon's Canadian Provincial Flowers series.
The original backstamp identifies the piece as Trillium, from the Canadian Provincial Flowers series by Paragon China Ltd, Stoke-on-Trent, and confirms that it was made in England. The mark also carries Paragon's Royal Warrant wording, “By Appointment to H.M. The Queen.”
The Canadian Provincial Flowers range is documented as a discontinued Paragon bone china series and included demitasse cup-and-saucer forms as well as larger tea and tableware pieces.
Ideal for collectors of Paragon bone china, Canadian floral designs or as an individual replacement for an existing Trillium service.
