Wedgwood Blue Elephant Bone China Incense Burner with Stand

A charming and unusual piece from Wedgwood's discontinued Blue Elephant collection.

This is the original two-piece incense burner and matching stand, featuring the colourful Blue Elephant design with richly decorated elephants in blue, pink, green and gilt tones.

The conical upper section has small pierced holes designed to allow fragrance from the incense to escape, while the matching circular stand features the coordinating deep blue, pale green and gilt border.

The underside carries the Wedgwood England backstamp.

The Blue Elephant collection was produced from approximately 1992 to 1995 and is now discontinued. This particular piece is documented as the Incense Burner with Stand, approximately 3⅜ inches in size.
