Vintage Royal Worcester Evesham Gold Divided Serving Dish
An attractive vintage divided serving dish from Royal Worcester's much-loved Evesham range, decorated with naturalistic fruit sprays and finished with a fine gold rim.
The oval dish is divided into two serving sections, with golden pears decorating one side and rich purple plums to the other. Its practical divided form makes it ideal for serving vegetables, side dishes, fruit, snacks or accompaniments.
Royal Worcester introduced Evesham in the early 1960s, taking inspiration from the fruit-growing Vale of Evesham in Worcestershire. The Museum of Royal Worcester records that the original fruit designs were created by members of the factory's design department and reproduced using multicolour lithographic transfers, with pieces finished with hand-applied gilding. The range became one of Royal Worcester's most successful late-20th-century designs and expanded into an extensive selection of oven-to-table and serving ware. Museum of Royal Worcester
