Set of 3 Antique Sewing Machine Banjo Thumb Oilers – Vintage Metal Tools

An unusual set of three antique/vintage metal thumb oilers, sometimes known as banjo oilers, traditionally used for applying small, controlled amounts of lubricating oil to sewing machines and other fine mechanical equipment.

These compact oil cans have distinctive round flattened reservoirs with long narrow spouts, allowing oil to be directed precisely into small moving parts. Their simple practical construction makes them interesting survivors from an era when sewing machines and household machinery were routinely maintained and repaired at home.

The three examples vary slightly in their construction and finish, giving the group plenty of character. One carries the engraved wording “THE WORTH … EXTRA”, together with a central emblem/mark.

They are offered together as a set of three and would make an interesting addition to a collection of antique sewing accessories, vintage tools, industrial objects or haberdashery displays.
