Set of 5 Vintage Coalport Blue Dragon 7" Bone China Side Plates

A striking matching set of five Coalport Blue Dragon side or tea plates, made in England from fine bone china.

Each plate features Coalport's wonderfully detailed cobalt-blue Dragon pattern, with traditional Chinese-inspired dragons alternating with floral sprays around the border. A richly patterned geometric inner band surrounds the plain white centre, while a delicate gold rim provides the finishing touch.

The underside carries the classic England Coalport A.D. 1750 crown backstamp.

Importantly, documented Coalport archive examples show 7-inch Dragon plates with this A.D. 1750 backstamp dating to around the 1930s, so we can be considerably more confident about the period than we were earlier. The archive records both 17 cm and 17.5 cm Dragon plates from this period.

Condition
