Villeroy & Boch Heinrich Fruit Garden Covered Tureen – Germany

A beautiful vintage Villeroy & Boch Heinrich Fruit Garden covered vegetable tureen, made in Germany.

This substantial serving piece has a softly faceted form with integrated side handles and its original fitted lid. The delicate Fruit Garden decoration features pears and soft peach-toned fruits amongst trailing green foliage and pale pink flowers, all set against a warm ivory-white porcelain ground.

The decoration continues across both the bowl and lid, while the sculptural lid handle completes the distinctive design.

The original backstamp identifies the pattern as Fruit Garden, produced by Heinrich for Villeroy & Boch in Germany. Villeroy & Boch acquired the long-established Heinrich porcelain manufactory in Selb in 1976, with the Heinrich factory subsequently becoming an important part of the company's porcelain production.
