Vintage Belleek Ireland Shamrock Bud Vase – 5" 6th Green Mark 1965–1980

A charming vintage Belleek Ireland Shamrock bud vase, standing approximately 5" / 12.7 cm tall, made in Belleek's famous creamy ivory Parian porcelain.

The elegant slender form has a long vertically fluted neck, gently flared and softly shaped rim, and a rounded lower body with subtle moulded texture. Delicate hand-painted green shamrocks decorate the lower section, one of Belleek's most enduring and recognisable motifs.

The underside carries Belleek's green trademark featuring the Irish Wolfhound, Round Tower and harp.

The backstamp identifies this as Belleek's 6th Mark, or Third Green Mark, used from 1965 to 1980. Belleek's own dating guide confirms that the mark was reduced in size in 1965 and the registered ® symbol moved to above the harp, exactly as seen on this example.

Condition

Good vintage condition with signs of previous ownership and display consistent with age.

The underside retains some old adhesive/label residue and age-related marks, which I've deliberately left visible in the photographs rather than disguising them. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.

I'd actually use £12.99 rather than the £14.99 I suggested earlier. A 5" sixth-mark Shamrock vase recently sold at auction for only US$4, while Belleek currently sells a new 6" Shamrock Meadow vase for £20. That puts a common vintage 5" example into a fairly modest resale bracket despite the nice 1965–80 mark.
