Vintage Pink & White Spiral Cased Art Glass Ewer with Applied Clear Glass – 20cm

A wonderfully decorative vintage hand-worked art glass ewer, featuring a striking pink and white spiral design with elaborate clear applied glass decoration.

The body has been formed using alternating pink and opaque white glass, creating a continuous candy-stripe spiral that travels from the base through the rounded body and up the tall neck. Around the shoulder is a dramatic series of clear applied glass loops and leaf-like flourishes, complemented by a sweeping clear glass handle.

Standing approximately 20 cm / 8" tall, this is a particularly eye-catching piece despite its relatively compact size. The combination of candy-striped glass and free-form applied decoration gives it a distinctly mid-century decorative character.

The base shows the spiral construction clearly and contains small bubbles consistent with hand-worked glass.

The piece is unmarked, and while this type of decorative glass is often attributed to Italian or Bohemian production, we have not found sufficient evidence to confidently assign this example to a particular factory. It is therefore offered simply as vintage European-style art glass rather than with an unsupported maker attribution.

Condition: Displays beautifully, but there is light nibbling/fritting to the inner edge of the rim, shown clearly in the photographs. This consists of several small areas of edge wear rather than one large chip. No major cracks noted. Small bubbles and minor irregularities associated with manufacture may also be present.
