Vintage Ruby Red Aventurine Art Glass Creamer Jug – Murano Style 5"

A gorgeous vintage ruby-red art glass creamer or small pitcher, combining rich jewel-toned glass with sparkling gold aventurine decoration.

The body has a tactile diamond-patterned texture, gently flared and scalloped rim and a beautifully applied clear glass handle containing shimmering gold-toned aventurine flecks. Further aventurine detailing around the foot gives the little jug an especially decorative finish.

At approximately 5 inches tall, it makes a wonderful display piece while still retaining its original practical form as a small pitcher or creamer.

Ruby glass combined with aventurine is well established in Italian and Murano art-glass production, and comparable vintage pieces are described using the same combination. However, without a surviving factory label or signature, I would not attribute this example to a particular Murano maker. “Murano style” is the safer description.
