Vintage Figurines & Sculptures
Explore our collection of vintage ceramic and porcelain figurines, animal figures and decorative sculptures, chosen for their character, craftsmanship and charm.
Figurines have played an important part in British and European ceramics for centuries. During the 18th century, porcelain factories produced figures inspired by mythology, theatre, pastoral life and fashionable society. By the Victorian era and throughout the 20th century, decorative figures had become popular ornaments for homes across Britain.
British manufacturers developed particularly recognisable styles. Royal Doulton became famous for its character figures and elegant ladies, Beswick for remarkably lifelike animal models, while makers including Coalport and Royal Worcester produced finely decorated porcelain figures alongside their tableware and ornamental ranges. Continental European factories also created an enormous variety of porcelain and ceramic figures.
Our collection can include vintage lady figurines, animal sculptures, birds, character figures, studio pottery and unusual decorative pieces from Britain and further afield.
Some pieces are immediately identifiable by a factory backstamp or model number, while others require a little detective work. Where possible, we research the maker, approximate date, model and country of origin before offering an item for sale.
Every vintage figure has acquired its own character over the years, so individual listings include detailed photographs, measurements and condition information.
